Please join us to share new information and resources offered to help Native communities strengthen their families. This conference provides a variety of important workshops for tribal adults and youth.
This year the conference gives participants opportunities to create strong foundations for our families and tribal governments. Collectively, tribal communities must be ready, and willing to meet the challenges for a stronger future for Indian country. The cultural, social and political integrity of tribal communities will become healthy and stable when we commit collectively to care for and support Native families. Knowledge and awareness of issues that threaten the health, safety, and welfare of Native families are the responsibilities of the leadership of Indian communities.
It is FOR ALL OUR RELATIONS that we come together to share our knowledge, skills, and dreams for the future of Indian families.
Who Should Attend?
This conference is for Indian parents and youth, tribal council members, tribal court personnel, various tribal agency employees, health and social service providers, judges, attorneys, housing staff, police officers, various county and state employees, and others who work with or are concerned about the health, welfare, and safety of Indian Families. Children, 8 years and older may attend youth workshops. Children who are 8 years to 11 years old must be registered this year and they must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone in all youth workshops. All children participating and using workshop resources must be registered. Workshops are not designed for children younger than 8 years of age. You must complete a separate registration for each conference participant online at http://www.nijc.org/conferences.html. Click the 13th Annual Conference Registration link, which will direct you to the Eventbrite Registration Site. Complete the form and please pay with a credit card or check. You will receive an automated confirmation including a receipt for your payment. If paying by check, please send your payment to NIJC within 14 days to secure your registration. If payment by check is not received within 14 days of registration, the registration will be canceled to allow others to register.

CONFERENCE POLICIES - By registering for this conference, you agree to abide by the following conference policies:
Your paid conference registration provides you with entry to the general sessions, concurrent workshops, the banquet luncheon and awards, and the vendor area. Ages 11 and under attending workshops and/or participating in the banquet luncheon must be registered. Additional banquet luncheon tickets may be purchased for $68.31 each for those individuals who wish to attend the banquet luncheon but are not registered for the conference (not attending workshops). The 2013 Conference Schedule will be available at http://www.nijc.org/conferences.html for times and locations for general sessions, workshops, banquet luncheon, and other scheduled activities. Only registered participants, wearing conference name badges can attend workshops, events, and banquet luncheon.
You will receive a PDF attachment that will serve as your ticket to this event. Please bring this ticket with you to the conference. If you have not received a ticket, call Margaret immediately at (707) 579-5507 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cancellations may only be made through NIJC. If you cancel, you will receive a refund less a 25% administrative fee. To cancel your registration, you MUST provide a written request to Margaret Colglazier at email@example.com or fax to (707) 579-9019 by June 17, 2013. There will be NO refunds if you fail to cancel by June 17, 2013.
There will be no substitutions for prepaid registrations this year. There will be no on-site substitutions. If you must cancel, your space opens to persons on the wait list automatically.
CONFERENCE INFORMATION - The following information will help you plan your travel to the conference.
All participants are responsible for their own room reservations and expenses for this event. The conference hotel is the Marriott Anaheim, your reservations MUST be made as soon as possible to guarantee room rate. You may book your sleeping room by going to http://www.nijc.org. Click the For All My Relations Annual Conference button and you will be brought to the conference page. There you will find a link to the Marriott Anaheim FAMR Conference Room Block. When making your hotel reservations at the Marriott Anaheim by phone be sure to mention that you are with the National Indian Justice Center to receive the special conference room rate. The Marriott Anaheim Hotel reservation phone number is (877) 622-3056. The hotel has a room block of 200 rooms at the rate of $149.00 per night single or double occupancy (not including tax and fees). This special conference rate will be available until June 24, 2013 or until the room block sells out.
The Marriott Anaheim is located just 3 blocks away from Disneyland. The Marriott Anaheim hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Anaheim Resort District, offering amenities and service unrivaled by other Anaheim hotels near Disneyland® Park. Each of the 1,030 hotel rooms are sure to exceed your expectations featuring available high-speed internet, plush Marriott bedding, and tasteful decor. The Marriott Anaheim hotel is walking distance to Downtown Disneyland® District, an outdoor promenade with restaurants, theatres, and shopping in a tropical setting. Just steps in the other direction will take you to the Anaheim GardenWalk, an oasis of outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment in the heart of Orange County. This luxury Disneyland hotel in Anaheim, California, has earned the prestigious ENERGY STAR® label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. There is on-site parking for hotel guests: Daily rate self parking $24.00 / daily valet parking $28.00. Super Shuttle provides shuttle service between the John Wayne and Los Angeles airports and hotel by reservation only. One-way shuttle service to/from John Wayne airport is $10.00; one-way to/from Los Angeles International is $16.00 (this does not include tip). Cab fare one-way to Los Angeles International airport is approximately $95.00 and to the John Wayne airport is approximately $45.00 (a 15% gratuity will be added to these rates). The Marriott Anaheim Hotel does not provide shuttle service to these airports.
Some workshops may require pre-registration and a materials fee. Information will be sent to you prior to the conference.
EIGHTH ANNUAL COLLEGE DAY:
NIJC is teaming up with the California Indian Professors Association (CIPA) to sponsor our Eighth Annual “College Day” event. The College Day event will be held on July 18, 2013, the first day of the conference, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. It is our goal to provide a forum for American Indian students and their families to discuss admission issues directly with college and university staff.
The shuttle runs every 20 minutes on the hour starting 1 hour prior to the park opening and runs up to 30 minutes after the park closes. After that, the shuttle does not run anymore for the day. Roundtrip costs: $5.00 for kids/adults over 9 years old; $2.00 for children 3-9 years old; Free for children under 3 years old. Passes can be purchased in the hotel gift shop or at the front desk.
DOWNTOWN DISNEY: The same shuttle that goes to Disneyland can also be used to get to Downtown Disney. This shuttle does not drop the hotel guest off directly at Downtown Disney. From the point of where the shuttle drops hotel guests off to go to Disneyland, you will have a 5-10 minute walk to get to Downtown Disney.
